Last Week

Hi Folks,
The last week is coming up. Yahoo. We didn't go home this weekend because of the weather. On Saturday Pam developed difficulty breathing and so we went to the emergency department. She has bronchitis, but is feeling improved today. Incidently, we sat in the waiting room for 8 hours. I'm seeing various aspects of the health care system from the other side and some definitely need improvement.

Myself, I am feeling fine with just 5 days left in this phase. After this, I will have 5 days of chemotherapy per month for 6 months. This won't involve travelling. Onwards and upwards.

Love,
Pam and Barry

Hi Barry and Pam,
I just wanted to pass on to you a website for the Bruzynski Clinic in Houston Texas. Perhaps you've heard of it. My father was a patient there approximately 7 years ago. He had a grade 3-4 Astrocytoma Glioma. It was definately a positive experience. I have also passed this info on to both Suzie and David.

Like I wrote to the two of them. love, laugh, cry, hug, kiss and spend as much time with one another as you can.

My thoughts are with all of you,

Take care,
Candice (a friend of Suzie and David's)

Way to go man,a few more days. I am sure you and Pam will be glad to home.

Stay tough and keep smiling. From what I gather, all the nurses miss you big time.

Barry and Pam,
Have been following your progress and glad you have made it so well through first phase of treatment. You have lots of guts, which I always knew, and know you'll need it all over next months. Great to know you'll be home for rest of treatment.
Give those nasty cells a hugh check into the boards!
Enjoyed our many Wednesday afternoons at Sports Centre Physio.

Dear Barry and Pam,
We haven't met but I am a good friend of your sister Norma and I know how well regarded you are by all the Maritime community. We don't live too far from the VG. If you want a space to hang out, cook some meals or just listen to music or get away from all the craziness of that place while you are in town, our house is open to you. We are usually working anyway. They could probably beep you when your appointment is coming up. Also if you have family coming in who want to be closely accessible when you are in Halifax, they are welcome here. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you!
Our very best to you,
Judy and Duane
