16 of 30 treatments done

Hi folks,
We're slowly but surely getting there. Suzie and I had an enjoyable week in Halifax. Still tolerating the treatments quite well. Short term memory loss is starting to sneak into the picture. Hopefully this won't be too significant. I can see it now-- standing half way up the stairs and not remembering whether I was going up or down. I'm sure there will be numerous humourous situations related to this in the future. (Jamie will probably invent a few of his own).

Pam is starting to feel better with her cold and will be coming to Halifax this week.
We'll keep in touch.

Love,
Barry and Pam

Over half way done, of this round. I am so glad to hear you are tolerating the treatments and the medication well. Your positive feelings continue to be your most effective weapon. Don't worry about the short term memory loss because I'm sure all your "bad" and "blonde" jokes are safely stored in your long term memory.

Amanda D(Unit 1)currently on mat. leave, just in case you were wondering where I had been.

Just finished reading your updated message from yesterday(Sunday) and am certainly glad to read that you are over the halfway mark with your treatments. I'm afraid my messages out to you are going to be spaced from now on because my son (who is typing this, lol) is going to be moving out of our home, to Charlottetown, tomorrow and that means goodbye computer. As for your memory loss, I have that now and I have no logical explanation why this is, so don't feel bad, lol! Your wonderful sense of humor and positive attitude is two of your very best assets thats going to see you through this. I feel 100% certain that God is going to get you through this because he knows how many people that you have helped over the last several years during your career. You have been an all around great doctor and that has to count for something!!! My thoughts and prayers as usual are with you and your family every step of the way. From your old Summerside patient Bev Gunning.

Hey Badness,
Have missed seeing you at work these last few weeks. By the sounds of it you are still tolerating things well and hopefully you will continue to. A person will soon be needing a hug so stop by if you are up to it. Thinking about ya all the time.
Love Catherine
