Hello Dr. Barry & Pam; Would like to share with you something a friend sent to me. I believe, that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are resposible for who we become. I Believe, that no matter how good a friend is, they are going to hurt you every once and a while and you must forgive them for that. I believe, that its taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I believe, that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I believe, that either you control you attitude or it controls you. I believe, that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I believe that sometimes when I am angry I have the right but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel. I believe, that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself. I believe that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief. I believe, that the people you care about most in life are taken from you much too soon. I believe that life is more precious than money will ever be able to be. I believe that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. I believe you should share this with all the people you know and believe it!!!! Hugs and love to you. God bless. Sharon MacF

Hi Dr. Ling,
Lori from the ortho clinic.... just thought I would say a quick "hi". I think about you very often....I miss working with you. You are a great Dr. and I think I learned a lot from you. I am off on maternity leave right now...had another baby girl. I wanted to share a funny story that I thought you would appreciate. We did not have a name picked out for baby(prior to her being born), so we asked Marley( our two year old) what we should name the baby when it is born. Without missing a beat, she said "well, if it is a girl, baby Zoe(a name from Sesame Street) and if it is a boy, baby Big Bird." After a big laugh, we said "oh hunny, we can't even use that as a middle name. Besides, after a while Big Bird would be a hard name to live up to.
Anyway, here's a hug right back to you. Sorry for the long message, but would you expect anything less. Once I started typing, it is like talking and you know how quiet I am.

Hi Pam and Barry,
I've been getting daily updates from Mom and Dad - realized that although I think of you both often, I haven't sent you a hug in a while.
So... here's a big fat hug from Montreal.
Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.
Love,
Laura
